Responding as panelists were Trudi Makhaya, Special Economic Adviser to the President and Mamokete Lijane , Senior Sales Trader Capital Markets and FI at ABSA.
The capacity event, attended by invited members of business associations, banking associations, universities and business schools, local government representatives, PBF and PCF subscribers, foreign Heads of Mission and diplomats and members of the media, saw a lively discussion and question and answer session, facilitated by the programme director, Athandiwe Saba, Deputy Editor of the Mail and Guardian:
The interaction bore witness to the clear interest of the participants, to be engaged and to be part of the new consensus in the best interests of our country.
The event was a continuation of the programmes of the PBF, which is mandated to create platforms for business, ANC leaders and leaders in government to engage. Indeed the very participation through which the President encourages us to be empowered and to unleash the energy of our collective capabilities.
The PBF will host ongoing and similar events throughout the year.
